Location and Specialties

Location: Gore Bay, Ontario

Don Nelson initially started woodworking as a part-time helper to a master craftsman cabinetmaker while in high school. During College and University years and throughout his Engineering career, he continued to develop woodworking skills; building furniture, helping to construct cottages and completing a house addition as well as several renovations. After retiring from Engineering he and his wife settled on Manitoulin Island where he has a wood working shop and a unique home combining conventional and timber frame techniques using local timber, lumber and stone.  He formed Nelson Woodcraft in 2009 and photos of some of his completed projects are shown below. Don specializes in projects where he takes a customer’s concept or idea, develops the detailed design, and produces a tailored product.  Recently he has collaborated with Island artisans on the final finishing touches as highlighted in the photos of the night table.

  5. Woah! I’m really digging the template/theme of this website.
It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s tough to
get that “perfect balance” between user friendliness and visual appeal.
I must say you have done a awesome job with this. Also, the blog loads
very fast for me on Firefox. Excellent Blog!

  8. Good day and welcome to my webpage. I’m Marnie.
I have always dreamed of being a novelist but never dreamed I’d make a career of it. In college, though, I assisted a fellow student who needed help. She could not stop telling me how well I had done. Word got around and someone asked me for to write their paper just a week later. This time they would pay me for my work.
During the summer, I started doing research paper writing for students at the local college. It helped me have fun that summer and even funded some of my college tuition. Today, I still offer my writing services to students.
